DTG Printing
What is it?
Direct to Garment (DTG) is a process of printing full-color images onto garments. It is also a very fast choice that can produce high-quality printed clothing.
What can you print onto?
DTG originated in America on white T-shirts, meaning white garments gives off the best quality, as the printed design feels like part of the T-shirt. You can still print onto dark garments, but this has a thicker feel as the more white base is printed onto the garment.
Best Material
For best results use 100% cotton materials. Minimum of 80%. White marks which we call ‘Speckles’ will occur if printed onto fabric less than 80%.
How long does DTG ink last?
DTG is great for fast fashion. The maintenance of the garment will result in how long-lasting the ink will be on the material.
